Help with the KinoCalendar website and iOS app

KinoCalendar is a free showtime calendar for repertory and independent cinemas, covering fifteen cities. It's a small project, so the fastest way to get something fixed is to tell us exactly what you saw.

Something's wrong with a showtime

Showtimes come from each theater's own website or ticketing system, refreshed daily. If a listing looks wrong, it's usually one of these:

• A missing or wrong showtime. The theater may have changed its schedule after our last refresh, or its site may list the film differently. Check the theater's own page — every venue links out to it.
• A film matched to the wrong movie. We match printed titles to a movie database, and repertory programming makes that genuinely hard: remakes, re-releases, and double features under one title all collide.
• A theater we don't cover. Tell us which one — adding a venue is usually a day's work if its schedule is machine-readable.

Report a problem — please include the city, the theater, and the film, and we'll take a look.

The app

• You don't need an account. Browsing every city's showtimes, filtering by format, and using the map all work signed out.
• Signing in (with Apple or Google) adds lists, saved showtimes, and favorite theaters that sync with the website.
• Showtimes look old, or a screen says the schedule is from an earlier date. The app keeps working offline from its last download, and tells you when what you're seeing isn't current. Pull down to refresh once you have a connection.
• Location is optional. It's used on your device to sort by distance and is never sent anywhere. Declining it only turns off distance sorting.

Your account and your data

To delete your account and everything in it, open the app and go to You → Settings → your account → Delete Account. It takes effect immediately and permanently. You can also email us and we'll do it for you.

What we collect, and what we don't, is set out in the Privacy Policy. The short version: no ads and no advertising or cross-site tracking anywhere; no analytics of any kind inside the app; and your location never leaves your device. This website — including this page — uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page views without cookies and without fingerprinting or profiling visitors.
